With our Garlic & Fried Onion Peanut Butter, this dish gets that perfect savory touch of roasted garlic and crispy onion. Comfort food, but make it special.

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 100 g Garlic & Fried Onion Peanut Butter

  • 1 red onion, finely chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 small red chili pepper, finely sliced

  • A drizzle of oil

  • 4 chicken legs

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 300 ml water

Instructions

1. Prepare the base
Heat a little oil in a large pan. Sauté the onion, garlic, and chili pepper until soft and fragrant.

2. Brown the chicken
Add the chicken legs and cook them on both sides until golden brown.

3. Make the sauce
In a bowl, combine the Garlic & Fried Onion Peanut Butter, soy sauce, honey, cumin, and water. Mix until smooth and pour the sauce over the chicken.

4. Simmer
Lower the heat and let the chicken simmer gently for about 20 minutes. Stir occasionally and add a splash of water if the sauce thickens too much.

5. Serve & enjoy
Serve with rice and green peas, or your favorite veggies.
